Frequently Asked Questions

FAQs

  • A graphic designer brings expertise in visual aesthetics, technical skills, and a deep understanding of how design influences perception and behavior. This makes their role crucial in helping individuals and businesses effectively communicate their message and achieve their goals.

  • For transparency, I like to provide the general process used for each project.

Initial Consultation: This is a completely free consultation to assess the scope of the project, which includes a questionnaire and further discussion about your graphic design needs.

Proposal & Contract Agreement: I will provide a project proposal that gives you, the client, a rundown of what the project will entail, the cost, deliverables, as well as optional add-ons that are relevant to your project. Once the proposal is approved, you will be prompted with an invoice for 50% of the project cost upfront and a contract to be signed for the project to officially begin.

Research & Discovery: My design process really begins with plenty of research regarding current design trends, as well as getting a full understanding of your current brand and all of the info provided for the project.

Concept & Creation: The brainstorming begins with sketches and mood boards that then lead into polished mockups for you to preview.

Revisions & Polish: Once you’ve seen the initial mockups, you can provide me your feedback and let me know of any revisions that need to be made before approval.

Project Finalization: When final approval is made on the design, I will prepare the complete deliverables and send over the final invoice for the remaining balance. You’ll be sent all necessary, ready-to-use filetypes for your graphics!

  • Generally, pricing heavily depends on the scope of work. However, there is a structure I typically like to follow that I find is the most beneficial for both parties:

Initial Consultation: Completely free to assess the original project scope.

Project Execution: A fixed fee based on the agreed-upon deliverables.

Additional Work: Hourly rate for any extra work outside the initial project scope.

I often offer an hourly rate option for recurring or consistent work, as well as projects with a lot of scope variability.

  • Yes, absolutely! However, if the deadline is particularly a very short time, I do upcharge accordingly. You will be notified before any upcharges, always!

  • My primary design software is typically Photoshop and Illustrator. However, I also work with InDesign and Dimension depending on the project type.
